Admission is by donation and “Pay what you wish” when you get to the Discovery Center!

HWDC is a donation based nonprofit that depends on your support to keep our Discovery Center doors open and to continue doing our important conservation work with Hawaiʻi Wildlife Fund.

For parties of more than 12 (school groups, etc…), please call us at (808) 900-7124 to schedule a time. 

  • HWDC is open every day from 9:00am to 3:00pm.
  • Your visit will take about 60 – 90 minutes.
  • Suggested final entry is one hour (2:00pm) before closing.

Yes. Wheelchairs, walkers, and scooters are all permitted.

Yes, we allow service animals such as guide dogs. No pets are permitted.

Yes, strollers and babies are permitted.

Photos of the HWDC are permissible. However, video recording is NOT allowed. Tripods are not allowed in the venue.

We are on the third floor accessible by elevator or stairs. Look for the giant mural of spinner dolphins and turtles on the elevator shaft and take it up to us!
