Hawaiʻi Wildlife Discovery Center is an extraordinary multimedia, interactive venue with stunning murals, photos and videos featuring native marine wildlife, a “Kids Zone” learn & play area, and over 30 exhibits on conservation, marine debris, whaling era, and Hawaiian cultural values.
HWDC highlights the work of Hawaiʻi Wildlife Fund in protecting native flora and fauna via fieldwork, education, marine debris removal, conservation, research, and advocacy campaigns.
The Discovery Center is a fantastic place for all ages to come and enjoy. Make HWDC a destination spot, or come and visit while waiting for your reservation at one of the restaurants in Whalers Village or a beach activity.
HWDC is a donation based nonprofit that depends on your support to continue doing our important conservation work!

Open to the public on these days and times:
Monday – Sunday 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
We are open to the public and youth groups.

Our 5000 sq ft multi-media center is open to the public and encouraging parents to enjoy with their keiki.
PARKING:
HWDC will validate your parking at Whalers Village!
Your visit will take about 60 – 90 minutes.
Admission is by donation.
Located on the 3rd floor of Whalers Village, Kāʻanapali/Lahaina on Maui – map & directions.

- Your visit will take about 60 – 90 minutes.
- Bring in your parking ticket from Whalers Village parking lot to the front desk at HWDC for a validation sticker.
- HWDC is a donation based nonprofit that depends on the your support to continue doing our important conservation work!
